I was experimenting with rim lighting. There was an SB900 behind a shoot-through umbrella, the camera on a tripod, and me.
Essentially I was trying out different looks to see how things looked as I moved to different locations, relative to the light. I was aiming for high drama.

I was in a bit of a weird mood when this one was taken. That’s why I look this way.
The DSLR was still with the menders, so this one was taken with a P&S camera which was set to a 10sec delay.
The camera was driving an SB600, which was set up as a ceiling bounce. This lit up my face. Behind me is an SB900 set to optical slave, so it fired as soon as the SB600 did. This blanked out the wall behind me.
Nothing clever, but still a good first chance to play with at least one of the new SB600s.

This was also more an experiment into lighting than anything else.
The rest of the styling is courtesy of Silver Efex Pro‘s “Holga” preset (desaturation, tone control, vignetting), with some tuning before and after by me.
